A woman in her fifties will be put on trial which will be held in June after being charged of insulting the French president Emmanuel Macron “after describing him as ‘filth’ in a Facebook post.”
The woman risks a fine of 12 000 euros but not prison if convicted at the trial.
After the state’s local administrative office filed a complaint over her Facebook post dated 21st March on her Facebook page she was arrested and held in custody. Her post was posted the day before Macron gave a lunchtime interview to TF1 television to defend his controversial pension reforms that have given rise to nationwide violent protests. This is the same interview on which he wore his expensive watch during which he secretly removed it.
“‘This piece of filth is going to address you at 1:00 pm… it’s always on television that we see this filth ’ she wrote.”
The woman had also been a supporter of the 2018-2019 “Yellow Vest” proteststhat shook Macron during his first mandate.
France is becoming a European country where citizens are not allowed to criticise their government. Freedom of speech is something that Europe of the Elites does not respect and want to suppress.
Clearly Macron is one of the EU leaders that thinks he is above the law and above human rights.
