Through T-Systems a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom the WHO wants to ‘assist’ its 194 members countries in implementing digital vaccination certificates QR codes.

We have seen how China has transformed the QR code into a surveillance tool and in no way it is perceived that this might become the case in Europe.

Well on 23rd February of this year Telecoms reported that the World Health Organization wants to ‘assist’ its 194 member countries in implementing digital vaccination certificates. To that end it is establishing a ‘gateway’ to standardize the distribution of QR codes that confer privileged health status on their owner. Thus T-Systems a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom has been chosen as an industry partner to develop vaccination validation services.[1]

The company CEO Adel Al-Saleh said: “Corona has a grip on the world. “Digitization keeps the world running. Digital vaccination certificates like the EU’s are key to this. We are pleased to be able to support the WHO in the fight against the pandemic. Health is a strategic growth area for T-Systems. Winning this contract underscores our commitment to the industry.”

Such claims would have carried more weight a year ago but with the UK lifting all Covid-related restrictions and many other countries following suit the renewed zeal for mandating vaccines with limited efficacy is perplexing. It’s almost as if organizations like the WHO are hesitant to give up the massive increase in power that the pandemic provided.

“COVID-19 affects everyone ” asserted Gerrett Mehl Unit Head WHO Department of Digital Health and Innovation. “Countries will therefore only emerge from the pandemic together.

Vaccination certificates that are tamper-proof and digitally verifiable build trust. WHO is therefore supporting member states in building national and regional trust networks and verification technology. The WHO’s gateway service also serves as a bridge between regional systems. It can also be used as part of future vaccination campaigns and home-based records.”

If the WHO has anything to do with it it will undoubtedly affect everyone. T-Systems is already involved in a similar scheme devised by the EU which is likely why it was awarded this contract. The WHO intends for this system to apply to other vaccinations as well so the planned mission is not hidden. This type of system could easily be adapted to attach other conditions to international travel facilitating a global social credit system.
