A call to the police at around 11 pm on Tuesday, 30th July, reported a man suffering a stab injury on Northwold Road in Stoke Newington. The injured man was 53-year-old Derek Neil Thomas, who worked for the transport company Go-Ahead London.
Mr. Thomas was reportedly attacked at 11.05pm on his way home from work.
“Despite the best efforts of paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.”
The man who was wanted for his murder was arrested at the Notting Hill Carnival and was charged with murder and possession of a knife on 27th August. He appeared in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on the 28th.
The murderer is 33-year-old Kamar Williams, from the Isle of Dogs in East London. The UK is on life-support.
