Did Mapfre Middlesea commit daylight robbery on its investors?

A Maltese woman contacted this site informing me that she invested quite a large sum with Mapfre Middlesea. Up till this day, she never saw the fruit of such investment and she believes that it was all a fraud and that she has been robbed.

She also added this screenshot of a conversation which she had just come across on the Facebook page ‘Are you being served? (Malta & Gozo) Original’, as she explained:

[Is there anyone in here or do you know anyone that once made an appointment with a Middlesea representative, who went to his home, promised him grandeur things, the time-frame elapsed [25 years] and was given the sum promised? Thank you.

Anna Said: Yes, we had until 25 years. But they gave us much less than they promised us from when we began. They brought up a lot of excuses. The sum they gave us does not equal the sum they promised us. All bullshit.

Doreen Saliba: Anna Said, the same happened to us.

Anna Said: Doreen Saliba, they supposedly should have given us a lump sum equivalent to the Maltese lira. But when you switch the amount to euros, the sum didn’t even equal half of the original amount promised! What a shame! They fooled us. It does not encourage you to invest again.]

Any investigations by a decent lawyer and the dormant, not-good-for-purpose FIAU?
