In his test animals, it had resulted in cancer. This implied that any individual who received the vaccination had a high chance of eventually developing malignant cancer somewhere in their body. The individuals who had received the injections and were now patting themselves on the back for avoiding a heart attack or being paralyzed from Guillain-Barre syndrome now faced the risk of dying from cancer in the future. After learning about this, Morris was sacked by the National Institutes of Health for “insubordination.”
