The psychological operation behind Julian Assange – the guy who fooled many (1)

Reuters had previously requested the footage that was released by Assange under the Freedom of Information Act, as the dead included two of their journalists, but they were denied access.

So, although Wikileaks and Assange did publish the footage, which they got from Bradley Manning, they didn’t really expose anything. The event and the footage were already known about. For this, Bradley Manning was sentenced to thirty-five years in prison. Guess who pardoned him? None other than President Obama. Today Bradley Manning has become Chelsea Manning, a celebrity D.J.

Chelsea Manning

Back to Assange. Assange was born in 1972. What was he doing until 2010, when he became famous? Wikipedia happened to be the source to give accurate information compared to mainstream media outlets. We learn that:

“Assange was born Julian Paul Hawkins on 3 July 1971 in Townsville, Queensland, to Christine Ann Hawkins, (b. 1951), a visual artist, and John Shipton, an anti-war activist and builder. The couple separated before their son was born. When Julian was a year old his mother married Brett Assange, an actor with whom she ran a small theatre company and whom Julian Assange regards as his father (choosing Assange as his surname). Christine and Brett Assange divorced around 1979. Christine then became involved with Leif Meynell, also known as Leif Hamilton, whom Julian Assange later described as “a member of an Australian cult” called The Family:

Assange claimed that neither he nor his mother were ever members of this cult. “Meynell and Christine Assange separated in 1982. Julian Assange lived in more than thirty Australian towns and cities during his childhood.”

In 1994, Assange was charged with 31 counts of crimes related to hacking, including the US military, and faced a potential sentence of 290 years in prison. Did he spend time in prison? No. Instead, he struck a plea deal where he was fined A$2,100 and was released on a bond. Do you think all these pardons are coincidences?

In 1997, Assange penned a book with his friend Suelette Dreyfus detailing various hackers’ exploits. A statement on the Wikileaks website by Assange stated that “the book covers my case, but I deliberately minimised my role.” Dreyfus claims that in 1998, he, her, and a few other “computer geeks” co-founded Earthmen Technology.

Assange also made a good living during this time by serving as a consultant for big businesses. In spite of everything, including his advocacy, Assange made the decision to go. After beginning his journey in the US and Europe, he would ‘hopscotch’ via China, Mongolia, and Russia.

“In November 1996, Assange sent an email to lists he had created and mentioned a ‘Leaks’ project. Assange stated that he registered the domain ‘leaks.org’ in 1999, but ‘didn’t do anything with it.'” What important detail should you keep in mind here? That Assange registered a site for his ‘leaks’ project while travelling through Russia and China. This detail is very relevant and please keep it in mind because it will come up handy for later.

Wikipedia then states, that same year, while travelling the world, consulting for large corporations and registering a domain for his LEAKS project, Assange found the time to investigate NSA capabilities. He discovered a patent granted to the National Security Agency in 1999, for voice-data harvesting technology and said, ‘This patent should worry people. Everyone’s overseas phone calls are or may soon be tapped, transcribed and archived in the bowels of an unaccountable foreign spy agency.’ Again, he found this NSA patent while travelling through Russia and China.

This is information that came from his friend Suelette Dreyfus which she wrote in The Independent:
