How do governments collude with corporations, lobbyists, NGOs and academia to suppress your freedom? (2)

Pasteurized milk is exempt from scrutiny because the FDA’s main lobby is made up of the major milk producers. Due to their extremely low profit margins per unit, large milk processors are significantly impacted financially if a large number of customers visit them to purchase raw milk products.

The milk raids in California weren’t a unique incident. In the following years, there were raids around the United States targeting the selling of numerous organic products. However, whatever the safety problems and risks may be, one thing is certain: the politicians who oversee the regular jury agencies and their actions are not driven by any sense of the public good. Their need to hold onto power drives them. That costs money.

The political systems in the US and around the world are flawed because they are based mostly on economics and money. Thus, that creates an economic system right away between those who can afford to participate in the system and those who cannot. You need money in order to run for office. For instance, you need $1.55 million in America. Then, to run for the Senate, you’ll need roughly $11 million. So what happens if you don’t have any money? When you approach those who are willing to lend you money to support your campaign, keep in mind that they are not doing it philanthropically. Instead, they will expect something in return. Big Businesses definitely benefit from it since they can allocate more resources to sway purchasing decisions.

Large corporations now consider political influence to be just another tool in their marketing arsenal. They utilize their power to stifle competition rather than promote themselves, and lobbyists are essential to this whole process.

Contrary to popular belief, we do not live in a free market society. The current state of affairs between Big Government and Big Business, particularly in the United States, is far too intimate, largely due to lobbying. In particular, when it comes to the military and Big Food and Medicine like Monsanto with all the GMOs and whatnot, they have cronyism rather than capitalism. Because Monsanto has so much political clout in Congress thanks to the food industry’s lobbying efforts, most people are not concerned that all of this is being imposed upon them.
