The Dolomite mountains, a spectacular aura of spirituality on their own. I visited this region when I took part of the Maratona dles Dolomites, a gruesome cycling race which sees you climbing this super tough mountainous region. They are the mountains which made me hasten my steps in my quest to get to know God, when I was not holding to any faith at all.
But now, just like in Venice , there will probably be entry tickets for visitors of the Dolomites which was proposed by some local hoteliers. The lie they give is that this is necessary for “the valorization of the territory.”
Truly, this is just another tax, even if it boil down to just one euro, in order for visitors to be given the permission to visit parks and peaks in the region.
“This time the proposal was launched by the president of the Belluno Dolomiti hoteliers, Walter De Cassan, during the 74th national assembly of Federalberghi. ‘It might not be a bad idea. To enter the immense American parks you pay a tax, and one could be established throughout the UNESCO Dolomites area, perhaps even just one euro, with the proceeds going to finance mobility, promotion and a whole series of initiatives aimed at enhancing this territory.’
“This is not the first time such a proposal has been made. They had already tried it in Cortina, but the idea was immediately rejected by the Minister of Tourism, Daniela Santanché, and by the mayor of the famous town.”
“Some Belluno hoteliers believe the decision to have tourists collect the tourist tax only in their accommodation facilities is unfair, De Cassan commented to the Gazzettino to explain the reasons for the proposal. For Federalberghi it would therefore be better to also implement other formulas, such as the Dolomiti tax. All for a noble purpose: financing mobility, building infrastructure and promoting the territory.”
In the new totalitarian regime in which you are being channelled to accept as normal and live in, the fascist and communist regime will soon command you to pay taxes so that you are allowed to breathe air.
