The crook Keith Schembri is again in court today, pumped up by a crowd applauding his crookery

Instead of realising that the true losers in all this saga are honest Maltese working citizens of good faith, the crowd that gathered outside the law courts to cheer for the Invictus and his former chief of staff, Keith Schembri, was all for one and one for all to applaud and cheer for the same Schembri, while tapping on his shoulder and chest. At least he did appear, instead of disappearing for months somewhere, with the excuse of a ‘medical condition’.

If you happen to be a small fish caught defrauding the government, you are crucified by the angry crowd chanting, “How dare you? The government is so good to us.”

But if you’re the former Invictus chief of staff, who the state’s own anti-money-laundering investigators said is involved in laundering millions of euros, then you get to walk amidst the cheering and supportive crowd to the law courts with full support.

But if you’re the former Invictus chief of staff who was mentioned in court by Vince Muscat il-Koħħu as allegedly involved in the Daphne Caruana Galizia murder, then you get to walk amid the cheering and supportive crowd to the law courts with full support.

But if you’re the former Invictus chief of staff who is protected and covered up by the police, like when the same police did not search for his ‘lost’ phone when he coincidentally said he lost it, a ‘lost phone’ that had been last turned on close to his own home, just 30 minutes before the police arrived to take him into custody, then you get to walk amid the cheering and supportive crowd to the law courts with full support.

But if you’re the former Invictus chief of staff who is protected and covered up by former commissioner Lawrence Cutajar and Peter Grech, former Attorney General and Head of the FIAU, then you get to walk amid the cheering and supportive crowd to the law courts with full support.

But if you’re the former Invictus chief of staff who is immersed in secret money laundering operations, along with other crooks and cronies like Konrad and his wife on paper, Sai Mizzi, corrupt accountant Brian Tonna of Nexia BT, and the managing director of the publishers of the Times of Malta and The Sunday Times, Adrian Hillman, in Panama, the British Virgin Islands, Cyprus, and Gibraltar, then you get to walk amid the cheering and supportive crowd to the law courts with full support.

But if you’re the former Invictus chief of staff charged in court in connection with two magisterial inquiries in connection to allegations that surround him and former Allied Newspaper managing director Adrian Hillman, then you get to walk amid the cheering and supportive crowd to the law courts with full support.

It must be a travesty of justice for his name to be a common factor and denominator in all this crime.

The crook Keith Schembri is again in court today, pumped up by a crowd applauding his crookery.
