The Curia and Archdiocese of Malta continue to confirm to you that it is turning the Paola Christ the King Basilica into a hangout for thieves

In a statement on Monday afternoon, the Curia said that following discussions between the Archdiocese of Malta and parish priest Fr Marc André Camilleri, it was agreed that instead of a 4D licence, the parish would seek a 4C licence. The latter does not permit cooking to take place on the premises” and apparently, it is now amending the planning application ‘for a rooftop cafeteria’ and a ‘lounge area.'”

Excuse me but are you pulling our legs? Jekk ma ngħaddux mill-bieb, ngħaddu mit-tieqa. This is still business, which is being done with the blessing of Archbishop Charles Jude Scicluna!

“And Yehoshua/Yeshua (Christ) went into the temple of God, and cast out all of them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money changers, and the seats of them that sold doves, and said unto them, ‘It is written: My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves’” (Matthew 21:12-13).

“A spokesperson for the Archdiocese said: ‘There was never any intention to operate a restaurant on the roof of the parish church but we agreed it would be prudent for the parish to amend its application to eliminate further conjecture, speculation and misconceptions.'” Prudent? It is abomination, to say the least! The church is the house of prayer of our Lord and a sacred place! It is already an abomination that in the parish church where I live, there isn’t a week which passes by that there aren’t ongoing fundraising events for the church’s maintenance, for the feasts, for restoration and this and that. These fundraising events range from playing bingo in the church’s hall, to selling cakes, to a bazaar and to the sale of calendars and raffles at the main entrance of the church, as soon as you go in! I feel so sorry for all the honest priests that have to work in this kind of organization.

All is done for the maintenance of those huge, big churches full of gold and silver and damask and statues and the pagan feasts of alcohol and fast food kiosks while honouring the ‘sin of the calf’! Churches should be simple and devoid of luxuries! But here comes a cafeteria on top of the Paola Christ the King Basilica roof.

Here comes the biggest humbug. “The Archdiocese insisted on Sunday that similar initiatives have been undertaken at other churches abroad – including St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. Indeed, atop the famous basilica in Vatican City, visitors can buy a quick espresso before reaching the top of the dome”. Let us be spiritless and copy what is desacralized. The Vatican City and all its money-making sprees are yet another capitalist hangout for thieves and we all know how much the Vatican has been stinking with corruption and involved in one scandal after the next throughout history.

Archbishop Charles Jude Scicluna, are you fine with turning the basilica into a fallen tree while crucifying the media massacred lamb who truly is not?

The church, the Archdiocese of Malta and the Curia have reached rock bottom. They are embracing the bible of the money. So the members of the congregation can now hear mass, and then go up on its roof for an espresso and chill in the lounge. Any techno, pop, rap, rock, or heavy metal music? They might as well skip the mass and just go up on its roof, while others are hearing mass. What a shame. To the Curia and Archbishop Scicluna I tell you that you have betrayed Jesus and you are Judas Iscariot if you believe that acquiring wealth is the path to power. Archbishop Charles Jude Scicluna, it seems that this business opportunity will mean more revenue for you. I remind you that wealth tends to displace God in the lives of wealthy people – ‘For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also’ (Luke 12:34).

Keep Christ in mind for nothing and no one else. Jesus is not something you can purchase. You are nothing more than a complete embarrassment to this country and yourselves, so grow up.

It is time for the Curia and the Archdiocese of Malta to admit that they are just one whole big business organization and it is there to make profit. It has never been there and will never be there to mirror Christ and draw people to Him in the most spiritual way possible. I am sorry for all the honest priests who have to work in this type of organization.

In Matthew 19-20, Jesus said: “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.” But his grace, Mgr. Archbishop Scicluna, did not take heed and thus borrowed an archbishop’s costume complete with two horns of his majesty, was driven by his personal driver in the black, immaculate car from Mdina to Paola, returned the ten commandments tablets and told Him, ‘Lord, I promise I will make the parish economically sustainable and help it to continue serving as a pastoral hub.’

And his majesty with two horns giggled.
