The University of Pittsburgh’s fetal organ harvesting program had “inclusion quotas” based on sex, race, and ethnicity, according to the grant application submitted to the NIH for taxpayer financing. The application included strict requirements, including that newborns from minority demographics must account for 50% of the aborted babies, with black women accounting for the “full 25%” of the total. Daleiden pointed out that the Pittsburgh region in Alleghany County is over 70% Caucasian and only roughly 13% Black, according on data from the US Census Bureau.
“[The university’s] proposal…included a racial target for harvesting of human fetal parts of its planned aborted subjects,” stated Daleiden. “They wanted the babies that were killed and their fetal parts that they had harvested to be reflective of Pittsburgh’s diversity. However, [the City’s] numbers say otherwise…this makes no sense at all to me.”
Liberty Counsel has brought attention to the abortion industry’s racial targeting and its support for racist eugenics in multiple papers submitted to the U.S. Supreme Court. Indeed, in the 25 U.S. counties with the highest abortion rates, Planned Parenthood has now purposefully placed 86% of its abortion facilities in or close to minority communities. In June 2022, the Supreme Court reversed Roe v. Wade and declared that there is no constitutional right to an abortion, citing Liberty Counsel’s amicus brief in its decision. The High Court noted that “[a] highly disproportional percentage of aborted fetuses are black” and that abortion is “motivated by a desire to suppress the size of the African American population.”

The despicable acts by these abortionists, universities, and companies underscore why our client Sandra Merritt should be applauded and exonerated for revealing the depravity of this horrible industry and justice should prevail for her. The barbaric slaughter of babies for profit must stop.”
