Gabriel Micallef, a Mellieħa counselor and MZPN president, has taken to his Facebook page to write the following post:
Because of situations like these, Malta is a “Flawed Democracy.” Divisions and chaos are under way. The more corrupt the state, the more numerous the laws (Tacitus, The Annals of Imperial Rome). The more corrupt the state, the more bureaucratic ways there are for childish ministers to be kept in check by the mother court in the allocation of our tax funds. But, do they have the judges in their back pockets?
The government is not only obliged to inform us, the people, how it is spending our money, but it should also have a moral compass to spend our money diligently to improve our livelihood and income. It should make Malta great again. We want our dear, beloved Melita back. We will take our country and nation back from corrupt politicians.
We, the people, have a right to know how this money is being spent, but millions always flow out of nowhere for agendas like the LGBTQ parades, and for other corrupt, shady deals signed by ghosts in Castille behind the people’s backs. They allocate your tax funds to evil agendas while they walk through your mind with dirty feet.
What a disgrace of politicians we have! They are busy distancing themselves from the fallout, while the washing of hands of the whole deal has been so much.
An apt thought about this is one by George Carlin, an American comedian, actor, author, and social critic: “Forget the politicians. The politicians are put there to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice. You don’t. You have no choice. You have owners. They own you. They own everything. They own all the important land, they own and control the corporations that’ve long since bought and paid for, the senate, the congress, the state houses, the city halls, they got the judges in their back pocket, and they own all the big media companies so they control just about all of the news and the information you get to hear. They got you by the balls. They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying to get what they want. Well, we know what they want. They want more for themselves and less for everybody else.”
