Did the OPM protect the MUMN Head Paul Pace after receiving a call from the DB Group?

Information has reached this site that the OPM has protected the MUMN head Paul Pace, after receiving a call from the DB Group.

Pace had appeared before the Public Service Commission in September of last year “after having previously been tried by a specifically appointed disciplinary board over charges of misappropriation of public funds when he requested payment for work not carried out.” He was also “found to have received overtime payments when he was on holiday abroad while his signature was being falsified on attendance sheets at Mount Carmel Hospital.”

As the Shift News article reported, “despite the conclusions of the inquiry, finding him guilty of abuse, Pace was not dismissed. Instead, a Public Service Commission board concluded that it did not feel that the case merited the MUMN’s chief’s dismissal and decided on a five-day suspension.”

Rest assured, dear readers, that if it was you and me, we would have been turned into a scapegoat and the authorities would have done a show with us, so that you are warned that if you try to abuse the system, you will suffer consequences. In other words, it makes you think how easily the little guy is expected to pay back while the big fish usually get away with it.

This site was informed that Prime Minister Robert Abela had sent for the Permanent Secretary of the Health Ministry, Joseph Chetcuti for all necessary documents which were handed over to Abela. The informant told this site that Robert Abela received a call from the DB Group, ordering him to keep Pace in his position while reminding him of the generosity that the same company shows during Abela’s electoral campaign and the party’s campaign. I am sure, dear readers, that you get it.

One wonders, considering that Silvio Debono’s DB group, [together with James Barbara of James Caterers] was awarded a short-notice negotiated procedure tender and pocketed millions “from a direct order tender issued by the ministry of health for outsourcing services of nurses, managers and clerks as part of the COVID-19 vaccination roll-out programme.”

Later it also happened, just like magic, that Debono [also together with James Barbara of James Caterers] was also set to get his hands “on a further €7.69 million negotiated procedure contract spread out over 12 months for the provision of residential nursing and caring services provided through the Ministry for Active Ageing.” In a nutshell, the DB Group is the one overloading our health care system with foreign employees.

Isn’t it ‘funny’ how it works? Same names coming up. Same deals being awarded to the same names. A phone call. Hardly any action is taken. Did Pace face and dance the true music? We had a case of misappropriation of public funds and the case went unpunished while things were swept under the carpet, while conveniently being ignored or forgotten, lest electoral campaigns are not sponsored.

But if it were you and me, rest assured that hell would break loose and we are destroyed systematically by an enslaving system which is already abusive as it is. The reason being that we do not make phone calls.

If the above information by the whistleblower is correct, I am sure the readers are figuring out how it works. X is given a multi-million reward deal, while the same X pays for electoral campaigns. Unelected X starts automatically working at the OPM, with a mere phone call, while putting in between the conversation some reminders to the OPM.

This site is thus asking for clarification, and verification of the informant’s information, while wondering who truly takes decisions in this country – is it the OPM or the so-called ‘lobbyists’ turned bribers?

This site is thus asking for clarification, and verification while wondering if Pace is a pet of the DB Group and if the answer is yes, why? And one wonders why the “MUMN has remained tight-lipped over its disgraced president’s future.”

When you have a government which puts its own and the businessmen’s interests first, forget about your liberté, egalité, fraternité.
