Pope Francis wants Bishop Strickland to resign

The media portal The Pillar has learnt that at a meeting Saturday 9th September, Pope Francis discussed with Vatican officials and cardinals-elect Archbishop Robert Prevost, OSA, head of the Dicastery for Bishops, and Archbishop Christophe Pierre, apostolic nuncio to the United States the prospect of requesting the resignation of Bishop Joseph Strickland.

Before the meeting, several sources close to the dicastery told The Pillar that the prelates would present the pope with the results of an apostolic visitation of Stickland’s diocese earlier this year, as well as subsequent public actions by the bishop, who has emerged as an outspoken critic of Pope Francis.

There’s no room to criticise Pope Francis and defend the Catholic Faith and Church apparently.

One senior official noted that the agenda is Bishop Strickland and that Pope Francis will expect him to resign after its recommendation, as Strickland’s case was set to be the ‘primary point of discussion.’ The official admitted that one of the reasons for his resignation was about Strickland’s comments about Pope Francis and the Synod. Then they included other excuses for reasons.

There’s no room to criticise Pope Francis and defend the Catholic Faith and Church apparently.

“The official predicted that the pope was unlikely to decide to depose Strickland as bishop of his diocese, a canonically rare act, but told The Pillar that Pope Francis would be advised to encourage the bishop to resign.”

Bishop Strickland, who “is championed by many U.S. conservatives for his staunch defence of the unborn, marriage, the traditional Latin liturgy, and Catholic orthodoxy” who had said in a tweet in May that Pope Francis was “undermining the Deposit of Faith,” adding that Catholics should follow Jesus, said that “although he had yet to receive any information of the meeting he was not prepared to resign from office.”

It seems like there is no room to oppose the agenda of a pope whom the Masons wanted: a pope who would be sympathetic to humanitarian principles of liberty, equality, fraternity and human dignity at the expense of Truth and at the expense of not honouring Christ.
