In Boston, in the United States, none of the LGBTI!QA+ groups condemned or expressed any concern about a monument that was erected showing a giant penis. The monument was created to honour the legacy of Dr Martin Luther King. The statue, entitled “The Embrace Statue”, was unveiled on 13th January, causing backlash and mockery, with statements that it looks like a giant penis. What is interesting is that no LGBTIQA+ organisation commented, condemned or expressed any concern about this monument.
